PX90 Fitness Tips To Be Successful

PX90 is a journey and it’s important that you get the most out of it.  I have compiled a list of several tips, tricks and tools for you to be successful with the PX90 workout program.  My goal here is for you to have success, I want to make that process as easy as possible for you.  Before you begin your PX90 fitness journey, please take some time and read over this list.  You will get a LOT of good quality information out of it!

Get Familiar With PX90

You are going to get the workout and you are going to be very excited to get started.  I don’t blame you, I was the exact same way.  But please, slow down a little bit and take a few days to get yourself familiar with the workout and how the routine works.  You will want to watch over the videos so you know what equipment you are going to need for each one.   You will want to watch the intro video that Tony supplies and begin with the fit test.  Also, go over the PX90 meal plan in depth so that you can begin getting the proper nutrition and food you need.

Get Your Body Ready For PX90

This one is up to you, but I highly recommend it.  A few days before you get the PX90 fitness program or before you begin the program you should start taking some joint supplements.  If your body is not used to taking all the shock from doing workouts like these, your body may need a little help from you.  There are a lot of joint supplements out there that can get your joints strong and ready for this workout.  I also suggest doing some light cardio and in home strength training before you jump right in.  Do some push ups and play around a little bit with your resistance bands or dumbbells.  Try to do a few curls and push ups ever day for a week.  I promise if you do this the shock and awe of the post muscle soreness will be greatly reduced!

Take Pictures And Record Measurements

This is overall one of my biggest tips for the PX90 fitness program.  I promise you that this is something that you will regret not doing if you do not.  It is crucial to your success!  After doing the program for a month I was convinced I had seen no results.  My wife insisted that I had, but I did not believe her.  She is a very supportive wife…  She talked me into taking pictures and sure enough, once I compared them to my first pictures there was a pretty large difference.  These changes are not always easy to see, but I promise you once you see them you will be hooked.  There was NOTHING more motivating to me than seeing results.  Every time I did pics, I could not wait to get the next workout in.  Measurements work the exact same way, you will not notice until you see the results in the measurements.  Gentleman, don’t be upset if your chest and arms are not getting bigger, but smaller.  More than likely this is due to you losing fat around these parts.  Even though they will be slightly smaller, they will have the appearance of being much larger.  Sometimes just getting rid of the fat around your muscles is enough to really change the way you look!  You just might surprise yourself with what is under there.

Have Realistic Expectations

This one is tough.  After watching the infomercial, they will have you believing that the body transformation was easy.  Just keep in mind that the people on the infomercial were more than likely trained and helped by beachbody.  They also could have been compensated for their results.  Those people are not your typical case of body transformation.  You should never set your goals too unrealistic.  Moderate your goals, start off small.  Once you start hitting these goals, then start setting them bigger.   Jump over to my PX90 workout review to see my before and after pics.  I had great results but it I still have a long way to go.  Another thing the infomercial does not always tell you is that they may have done PX90 4 times.  Which is almost a  years worth of working out and eating right.  I am not trying to bring you down, but if your goals are too far fetched you will become unmotivated really quickly.

Pick Your PX90 Workout Program

Now you are going to have to choose from 3 different workout types with the PX90 fitnes program.  There is the Classic, Lean and Doubles.  I started out with Lean for the first two months and moved over to classic for the last month.  When I start back up again I will go to straight Classic.  The lean program is more common with women, or someone who wants to focus more on weight loss than muscle building.  The classic program is the most popular and is for blasting fat and building muscle at the same time.  The doubles will put you on a two a day schedule.  This has you performing Cardio X in the morning 4 days of the week.  Not too different that Classic, but definitely more cardio.  Only do this if you are incredibly committed and somewhat experience.  Otherwise the workouts will be too much for you too fast.

Fine A Workout Buddy If Possible

If you can find someone to tackle this challenge with you, it will be a lot easier.  It’s always nice to have someone you don’t want to let down.  It is also just more fun to do it with someone else.  Please, if you don’t have someone else don’t let this discourage you.  You can still do it!  But if there is someone out there willing to step it up with you, than take advantage of it!

Take Advantage Of The PX90 Supplements

I understand the problem with this one.  These things can be a little expensive, I completely understand that.  Look at it like this.  A lot of these supplements are considered meal replacements.  If you are focused and committed and really use these to replace your meals, you should be about breaking even on the eating bill.  There is the very important Recovery Drink, Protein Bars, Vitamins and Shakeology.  Those are the ones that I recommend.  If you can only get one, get the shakeology and try to get a protein powder supplement online or at your local health and nutrition store.

Follow The Nutrition Guide As Much As Possible

I am not gonna lie, I am a husband and a father of two with a full time job.  This is NOT easy.  As a matter of fact I did not do a very good job of this at all.  I know I need to practice what I preach, and I am working on it, but it really is important.  If there is any part I wish I did different it is my eating.  I did not follow the meal plan exactly and I did not always make the best choices on what to eat.  But I promise that if you can overcome this and follow the meal plan exactly you will increase your results ten fold.  Even if you find the recipes you like and stick to them as much as possible.  I know it’s not easy sticking to a nutrition guide, but do the best you can.  I promise if your eating is right during this journey, you WILL see results.

Connect With Other PX90 Users

One place I am constantly visiting for motivation is the beachbody community forums.  This is where the real people are.  Get away from the infomercial type people and see what people are really going through and see some real results.  There are some people in there that achieve incredible success!  It’s incredibly motivating to go in there and check out some of the before and after pics.  You know that these are just normal people like you and I and not paid actors or fitness experts.  Also, these forums will be your number one place to get questions answered.  If you have a question, make a post.  I almost always get my questions answered within minutes.  It’s nice having a group of people there to cheer you on and help give you advice on what really works!  TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS!

Schedule Your PX90 Workout

If you set a time and place to get the workout done, you are 10 times more likely to actually do it.  Just think of it as any other appointment you have scheduled throughout the day.  Would you miss  your hair appointment?  No, you want your hair to look nice.  Think of this as your body appointment.  It’s not going to happen overnight, but if you  keep making this appointment your going to like looking in the mirror a whole lot more!

Try To Stay Positive

When doing the PX90 workout program it’s great to have support.  But for some reason, out of jealousy, people are naturally not supportive.  You are going to encounter a lot of haters out there.  People might tell you they tried the program and it did nothing for them, that’s because they didn’t stick with it.  Do your best to stay away from those people, they will only bring you down.  If you can surround yourself with positive motivated people, this process will be much easier for you.  I know this is not always possible, but do your best.

Get Lot’s Of Sleep And Avoid The Drink

The sleep part will probably come a little more naturally for you considering you will be workout out hard.  This is a good thing, I am actually so tired now around 9:30-10:00 instead of my normal 11:30-12:00.  I just get too tired to stay awake and I actually sleep better.  The only exception was the first week, when I had some serious soreness.  It was a little hard to sleep then, but you get over that pretty quick.  Also, stay away from the Alcohol if you can.  Alcohol is seriously empty calories and it will only set you back.  Especially if you drink a lot, not only are you doing harm to your body, you may not feel like working out the next day because of a hang over.

Here are some more PX90 tips from someone who is also doing it.  It’s nice seeing others out there that are doing it and making it work!

Just one BIG thing…..the program is P90X, not PX90….you oughta make the correction.

Thanks for the heads up! I actually noticed there was a small amount of people searching for P90X with the incorrect spelling. This site is designed to cater to those people. I definitely know that it’s not PX90, but I figured the people spelling it wrong deserve a site with content on it as well. So I went ahead and optimized my site for the misspelling. Thank you!

I am a 48 mother of 4, and my kids got me PX90 to try……. 2 of My kids have had great accomplishments on this program!!! I am looking forward to what I CAN ACCOMPLISH! Today is my day 1… I am so excited!!! Well, HERE I GO!!!!!

Great write up mate! I lost 14kg in one year 87kg to 73kg, then put on 5kg of muscle. I now want to try the Px90 and take it to the next level. Your tips are great! – Keep up the body transformation!
